The oldest existing photograph of the "Stuttgarter Maschinenfabrik G. Kiefer". It shows a combined dwelling house and workshop, characteristic of the architecture in the years after 1871, the period in which the company was founded.

 Pioneer in ventilation technology

The company was founded by Georg Kiefer in Stuttgart in 1877. From the very first year, the enterprise experienced a continual positive development, was an active pioneer in the field of ventilation technology, and soon became known well beyond the Stuttgart region.

The first products were dust removal plants for flour mills. Radial and axial fans, and other components soon followed.

Then as now, quality was of major importance at Kiefer.

Today the fourth and fifth generations of the founding family own and successfully manage the company’s fortunes. Besides plant engineering, the development of ventilation system components is one of the mainstays of the company.
